Dear Fellow Citizens of Our Future Planet
As a Citizen and Co-founder of OFP, I wish to share with you some thoughts relating to our planet’s future population. These ideas I have named the Jay Family.
I welcome your reactions and thoughts. Surely global population will be a major issue in our future. China has taken a ‘top down’ approach by telling its citizens what they may and may not do and they have thus caused their population to go down. The western world’s nations have not done so and our present population continues to rise.
My Jay system thoughts, below, are relevant to our part of the globe as well as to China as it may help reduce the loneliness experienced by Chinese children in their one-child families.
Of course there are no Jay Families in existence yet but, if the idea should intrigue you, do let OFP’s citizens know your thoughts and reactions.

The Jay Family simply consists of two couples, each with one child, coming together and forming a social unit wherein the two children have one another as companions.

In this way, population goes down by 50%. But sociologically it is better than China’s procedure because it eliminates the one child/only child problem which China has discovered creates some very unhappy and lonely children.
Also, many adults would like to interact with two rather than one child. By ‘couple’ selection, Jay offers more determination of the sex of the children in your Jay Family. You can unite with a couple whose child is of the sex you desire if that’s important to you.
Also, given the present near 50% divorce rate on both sides of the Atlantic (USA and Britain as examples), if one of the couples in a Jay Family should divorce (heaven forbid!) the two children might still have three adults remaining behind to look to for support and love.
And perhaps Jay will lead to less divorce, as the parental sharing in Jay might reduce some of the family stress in ‘present traditional family’ interaction.
