Mixed data in latest UK Environmental Accounts

A mixed picture has emerged from new environmental data issued by the UK government. The UK Environmental Accounts for 2012 shows greenhouse gases grew 3% in 2009/10, but were down 17.2% over the last 20 years.

A new report based on scores of personal testimonies from refugees in Eastern Africa finds that climate change can make people more vulnerable and can also play a part in driving them into areas of conflict and ultimately across borders and into exile.

Marine reserves among oceans of uncertainty

When all the world's scientists tend to agree on something, it's worth taking note. What is certain here is that the oceans have died, are dying and will be dead without huge effort on the part of individuals, government, if capable and international organisations, if politics allows them to show their teeth.
